It was a blank sort of day, the sort of day when nothing really happens. Its just a bad day,
Not a a bad life
He lay on the bed, headphones in, lights out.
The moonlight filters in thorough the half drawn blinds, illuminating the tiny tabby kitten lying cuddled up on his stomach.
A butterfly flutters across the field, alighting at last on a boys’s freckled nose.
“Bedtime, little brother”,said big brother.
“No!” Screamed little brother. “Don’t wanna!”
“C’mon kiddo, dad’s gonna be home soon and he’s gonna be angry that you are not in bed.”
Little brother scowled “Dad’s never home..”
Big brother sighed. At 8 he had sole responsibility of his little brother.
